Pregnancy asks a lot of your body.

Your posture shifts week by week. Ligaments loosen. The weight moves forward. Your nervous system is coordinating all of it, all day. A little support goes a long way.

  • The walk along the Centennial Trail that used to feel easy now ends with a tight lower back.
  • Sleep is a nightly negotiation between your hips and the pillow pile.
  • Sitting through work or traffic feels different in the second trimester than it did in the first.
  • You want a provider who treats pregnancy as a healthy season, not a condition.

What Webster-certified care actually does.

Chiropractic care looks for subluxations - places where the spine and pelvis are not moving the way they were designed to, which can interfere with how your nervous system communicates with the rest of your body. During pregnancy, that matters more than ever: your pelvis is the room your baby grows in.

The Webster Technique is a specific, gentle analysis and adjustment of the pelvis and sacrum developed for pregnancy. Dr. Tom has decades of experience as a Webster-certified chiropractor. The goal is simple: a balanced pelvis and a calmer nervous system, so your body can handle the season it is in with more comfort and less strain.

Every adjustment is adapted to your trimester - low-force techniques, supportive positioning, and no pressure on your belly, ever.

How care works, from first visit to third trimester.

1

Scan

A painless COREscore scan reads how your nervous system is handling the added load - objective numbers, not guesswork, and nothing that is unsafe during pregnancy.

2

Plan

Dr. Tom builds a care plan around your trimester, your history, and your birth goals - and explains everything in plain language before anything happens.

3

Gentle, effective visits

Short, periodic, comfortable adjustments as your body changes, with re-scans along the way so you can see your progress instead of wondering about it.

“Health, wellness and longevity is not about reaching a magical destination. It’s about the quality of your life while you are here - and few seasons of life deserve that care more than pregnancy.”

Questions expecting moms ask us.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Yes. Prenatal chiropractic uses low-force techniques, pregnancy-adapted positioning, and never puts pressure on your belly. Dr. Tom has cared for expecting moms in Spokane Valley since 2003 and adapts every visit to your trimester. If anything about your pregnancy needs a different kind of care, we will say so plainly and point you to the right provider.

What is the Webster Technique?

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and gentle adjustment of the pelvis and sacrum, developed for pregnancy. Its goal is balanced pelvic alignment and reduced tension in the surrounding ligaments and muscles. Dr. Tom Zolezzi is Webster certified.

When in pregnancy should I start?

Any trimester works. Many moms start in the first trimester to stay ahead of the changes; others come in later when sleep and comfort get harder. There is no wrong time to have your nervous system checked.

Will adjustments feel different while I am pregnant?

They are gentler. We use supportive cushions so you can lie comfortably, low-force instrument and hands-on techniques, and shorter visits. Most moms describe it as relieving, not intense.

Do you work alongside my OB or midwife?

Yes. Chiropractic care during pregnancy is wellness support, not a replacement for your prenatal medical care. We are glad to coordinate with your OB, midwife, or doula, and many local birth providers refer families to Webster-certified chiropractors.
